What technology does this test use ? - Metagenomic Shotgun Sequencing

What is Metagenomic Sequencing ?

Metagenomic Shotgun Sequencing is an advanced method that sequences all the DNA present in a stool sample.Instead of looking only for specific microbes, it reads every genetic fragment, allowing identification of bacteria, fungi, viruses, and other organisms.
This approach provides a broad, unbiased picture of the entire gut microbiome.
It can detect both common and rare microbes, including those not included in standard test panels.Because of its wide coverage and high accuracy, it is considered one of the most comprehensive tools for microbiome analysis. In simple terms, it gives a complete “DNA map” of what’s living in your gut.

What are certain specific health conditions for which this test can be used ?

IBS/IBD, digestive discomfort, bloating, diarrhea, constipation, metabolic concerns, skin issues (acne, psoriasis), immunity, and overall gut health. It is not a diagnostic test.
