Botanical Formula to remove Candida & Fungal Overgrowth

Oral thrush that keeps coming back. Athlete's foot or jock itch that clears briefly and returns. Recurring yeast infections. Persistent sugar cravings you can't explain. Skin rashes that don't respond to topical treatments. These aren't unrelated problems.

They're a pattern and for many people, the pattern only makes sense when they test for fungal overgrowth. Candida antibody blood tests, GI MAP stool analysis, and gut microbiome profiles consistently reveal Candida overgrowth as the underlying driver in people who present with this cluster of symptoms. The infections are the visible surface. The overgrowth in the gut is what's feeding them.

Candida albicans is a commensal yeast naturally present in the gut, mouth, and skin at low levels. It becomes a problem when the conditions that keep it in check such as a healthy microbiome, balanced blood sugar and intact gut barrier are disrupted. Antibiotics, high sugar diets, chronic stress, hormonal shifts, and immunosuppression are the most common triggers. Once Candida overgrows, it doesn't retreat without intervention.

The reason most antifungal protocols fail whether herbal or pharmaceutical is the biofilm. Candida doesn't sit exposed waiting to be neutralized. It secretes a protective biofilm matrix and builds cell walls reinforced with beta-glucans that shield it from antifungal compounds. Olive leaf can't penetrate a biofilm. Oregano can't break a beta-glucan wall. Without something to degrade these structures first, even well-formulated botanical blends have limited access.

Anti-Fungal Support is built around solving the biofilm problem first with a 900mg enzyme blend that degrades fungal cell walls and biofilm matrices then delivering 10 botanical and nutritional actives to address the exposed Candida and the metabolic conditions that allowed it to overgrow.

How Candida survives and what this formula does about it

The challenge	Why it matters	What addresses it in this formula
Biofilm protection	Shields Candida from immune response and antifungal compounds, botanical or pharmaceutical	900mg Enzyme Blend including Cellulase, Beta-Glucanase, Hemicellulase, Protease degrade biofilm matrix and cell walls
Beta-glucan cell wall	Candida's cell wall is reinforced with beta-glucans, a physical barrier most antifungals can't penetrate	Beta-Glucanase in enzyme blend specifically degrades beta-glucan structures
Blood sugar as fuel supply	Candida feeds on glucose as elevated blood sugar maintains the conditions for overgrowth	Chromium Picolinate 200mcg supports insulin sensitivity, reduces glucose available as fungal fuel
Acetaldehyde die-off toxicity	Dying Candida cells release acetaldehyde which causes fatigue, brain fog, nausea during treatment	Molybdenum Glycinate 45mcg is a cofactor for aldehyde oxidase, so it breaks down acetaldehyde
Fluconazole resistance	Candida resistance to standard antifungal medications is increasing, particularly in recurrent cases	HiMABERB® Berberine is active against fluconazole-resistant Candida strains via different mechanism
Recolonization after treatment	Candida reestablishes if the gut environment isn't restored after the protocol	Pomegranate Peel + Garlzac® are antifungal polyphenols that also support microbiome restoration environment

Four ingredients worth understanding specifically

The formula has 10 actives. Four of them are in here for reasons that go beyond standard antifungal coverage.

Enzyme Blend - 900mg · The cell wall and biofilm disruptor

The 900mg enzyme blend is the most structurally unique ingredient in this formula and the one that separates it from every other antifungal supplement in the Indian market. It contains four enzymes with specific activity against the structures Candida uses to protect itself.

Cellulase and Hemicellulase break down the cellulose components of fungal cell walls. Beta-Glucanase degrades the beta-glucan matrix that reinforces Candida's outer wall which is the same structure that makes Candida resistant to many antifungal compounds. Protease breaks down the protein components of biofilm matrices, disrupting the protective structure Candida builds to shield itself from the immune system and treatment compounds.

The practical consequence: botanical actives like Olive Leaf Extract and Oregano which cannot penetrate an intact Candida biofilm, gain access to the fungal cells after the enzyme blend has degraded the protective structures. The enzyme blend doesn't kill Candida. It removes Candida's defences so everything else in the formula can.

Olive Leaf Extract (18% Oleuropein) - 300mg · Direct antifungal

Oleuropein, the primary active compound in olive leaf, disrupts fungal cell membranes by interfering with the fatty acid synthesis pathways Candida needs to maintain membrane integrity. At 18% standardisation and 300mg dose, this is the highest oleuropein-content olive leaf extract in the formula and the primary direct antifungal botanical.

Oleuropein also has antiviral and antibacterial activity that makes this formula useful beyond Candida, supporting the broader antimicrobial environment in the gut during a fungal overgrowth protocol.

HiMABERB® Berberine HCl - 200mg · Active against resistant strains

Berberine's antifungal mechanism works by disrupting ergosterol biosynthesis, the process Candida uses to build its cell membrane. This is the same target as fluconazole, but via a different pathway, which is why berberine retains activity against fluconazole-resistant Candida strains. For people with recurrent infections who have used antifungal medications repeatedly, this is a clinically relevant distinction.

HiMABERB® is a high-bioavailability extract standardised for berberine HCl content, not a generic berberine powder. At 200mg in this formula (alongside the berberine contribution from other actives), it provides meaningful antifungal activity without the high doses associated with GI discomfort.

Molybdenum Glycinate - 45mcg · Die-off support

Molybdenum is a trace mineral that serves as a cofactor for aldehyde oxidase and sulfite oxidase that are two enzymes involved in phase II liver detoxification. Its specific role here is the breakdown of acetaldehyde, the toxic metabolic byproduct released when Candida cells die during treatment.

Acetaldehyde accumulation is responsible for the Herxheimer reaction or commonly called die-off, that causes fatigue, brain fog, headaches, and nausea in the first 1–2 weeks of an antifungal protocol. Most antifungal formulas don't include die-off support. Molybdenum in this formula directly addresses the metabolic bottleneck that makes die-off happen.

The remaining 6 actives -

Ingredient	Dose per 4 caps	Role

What Anti-Fungal Support may help with:

Confirmed Candida overgrowth - test-driven protocol

For people with positive Candida antibody tests, GI MAP findings showing Candida overgrowth, or gut microbiome profiles indicating fungal dysbiosis
Provides a botanical protocol for people who want to address confirmed Candida without immediately reaching for prescription antifungals
HiMABERB® Berberine is specifically relevant for people with recurrent infections where fluconazole resistance may be a factor

Recurring surface infections - oral thrush, athlete's foot, yeast infections

Recurring oral thrush, athlete's foot, jock itch, and vaginal yeast infections that clear briefly and return are often driven by ongoing gut Candida overgrowth, treating the surface without addressing the gut source leads to recurrence
This formula addresses the systemic fungal environment, not just the surface infection

Post-antibiotic fungal overgrowth

Antibiotics wipe out the bacterial microbiome, removing the competitive pressure that keeps Candida in check and fungal overgrowth commonly follows antibiotic courses
Sugar cravings, bloating, and skin changes in the weeks after antibiotics are classic post-antibiotic Candida presentation
Pair with iThrive Probiotics with Prebiotics after completing the anti-fungal protocol to restore the bacterial microbiome

Sugar cravings and metabolic support

Candida actively signals for glucose leading to persistent sugar cravings that feel compulsive rather than habitual are a recognised symptom of Candida overgrowth
Chromium supports insulin sensitivity to reduce the glucose supply; addressing the overgrowth itself reduces the signalling that drives the cravings

Skin and nail fungal concerns

Fungal skin rashes, nail discolouration, and persistent skin changes that don't resolve with topical treatment often have a gut-origin fungal component
Systemic botanical antifungal support addresses the internal environment that topical treatments cannot reach

How to use

Take 2 capsules twice daily, 15–20 minutes before your meal or as directed by your healthcare practitioner. If combining with a probiotic supplement, separate by at least 2 hours.

Why with meals: the enzyme blend is most effective when taken with food — it acts on the gut contents, degrading fungal structures in the digestive environment. Unlike H. pylori Relief, which is taken before meals, the enzyme-led mechanism here benefits from concurrent food presence.

Expect a die-off response: in the first 1–2 weeks, some people experience increased fatigue, brain fog, or mild nausea as Candida dies and releases acetaldehyde. This is normal and usually resolves within 7–10 days. Molybdenum in this formula supports acetaldehyde clearance. Staying well-hydrated accelerates the process.

Pair with during protocol: iThrive Detox Binder — supports clearance of fungal die-off toxins. Space 2 hours apart from Anti-Fungal Support capsules.

Pair with after protocol: iThrive Probiotics with Prebiotics — to restore bacterial microbiome diversity and create the competitive environment that prevents Candida from re-establishing.

Diet note: the formula's effectiveness is significantly enhanced by reducing dietary sugar and refined carbohydrates during the protocol. Chromium supports blood sugar regulation, but the formula cannot compensate for a high-sugar diet feeding ongoing Candida growth.

Practitioner’s Note

suyash bhandari ithrive supplements formulation

"What we see most consistently in clients with recurring fungal symptoms such as oral thrush, yeast infections or athlete's foot that keeps coming back is that they've only ever treated the surface. Antifungal creams, short courses of fluconazole, sometimes dietary changes. The symptoms clear. Then they return, usually within weeks, sometimes days. When we run a GI MAP or Candida antibody panel on these clients, the picture becomes clear: the gut is the source, and it hasn't been addressed. The reason the enzyme blend is the centerpiece of this formula is because without it, we're throwing antifungal botanicals at a target protected by a wall we haven't broken down. Olive leaf and oregano are well-researched antifungals. They're also largely ineffective against an intact Candida biofilm. The enzyme blend is what changes that equation. The molybdenum inclusion is the other decision that distinguishes this formula. Die-off is real, it's uncomfortable, and it's the primary reason people abandon antifungal protocols before they've worked. Addressing acetaldehyde clearance directly keeps people on the protocol long enough for it to do its job."
