Tax included. Free Shipping on Prepaid Orders
iThrive Healing and Beyond in collaboration with Diagnostic Solution Laboratory presents GI MAP Stool Test with Zonulin.
The GI-MAP® is a DNA-based stool test performed by Diagnostic Solutions Laboratory, USA. It uses advanced gene-sequencing technology to identify microorganisms and other markers present in the gastrointestinal tract.
iThrive is an authorised distributor of Diagnostic Solutions Laboratory in India. iThrive does not perform the testing. The sample is collected in India, shipped to Diagnostic Solutions Laboratory in the USA, tested there, and the report is shared with the customer once received.
The test report may help a qualified healthcare professional understand certain gastrointestinal findings and develop an appropriate plan based on the results.
Please note : Before placing the order kindly call our team on the below number and confirm if you're pincode is serviceable for FedEx pickup. Pickup is generally available in all tier 1 and some tier 2 cities across India.
Some conditions that warrant testing are:

- Mood disorders, depression, and anxiety
- Diabetes and weight loss issues.
Medications & supplements to avoid before the test :
- No Antibiotics for at least 4 weeks before the test.
- No Probiotics for at least 2 weeks before taking the test.
- If possible, we recommend discontinuing anti-microbial herbs & agents 4 weeks before testing.
- Immune Suppressants/ Oral steroids- will likely cause a lower Secretory IgA,
Anti-gliadin, and calprotectin result (after finishing these meds, wait 4-6 weeks
before collecting sample). - Menstrual blood should not be mixed with the sample, so you will have to collect the sample accordingly.
- If you have had a colonoscopy or colon hydrotherapy recently, you have to wait 1 month before giving the sample.
When do we suggest Zonulin Marker :
If the client seems to be suffering from symptoms of leaky gut or the practitioner suspects leaky gut, do suggest the GI MAP with Zolulin.
What is Zonulin and where is it found?
Zonulin is a protein that regulates intestinal permeability, often associated with the "leaky gut" phenomenon. Produced in the small intestine, it controls the tight junctions between cells lining the intestinal wall, acting as a selective barrier. Dysregulated zonulin levels can increase permeability, allowing toxins, bacteria, and undigested particles into the bloodstream, potentially contributing to autoimmune, inflammatory, and metabolic disorders.
What is a leaky gut?
Leaky gut occurs when the intestinal barrier becomes overly permeable, allowing toxins and bacteria into the bloodstream, leading to inflammation and health issues. It is linked to autoimmune diseases like celiac, Crohn's, and ulcerative colitis, with causes including chronic inflammation, HIV/AIDS, chemotherapy, NSAIDs, and alcohol.
High zonulin levels are associated with increased intestinal permeability, playing a key role in this condition.
How is the test done?

Also, during transit of the sample, it doesn’t need to be shipped in cold storage. As per the lab's strict instructions, the sample must reach the lab within 10 days from the date of collection; otherwise, it will be declared as rejected, and testing will not be carried out. In this case, a new sample has to be sent for testing.
Fedex Shipping Charges :
The international FedEx shipping charges for sending the sample from India to the USA are also included in the test price. But in case the sample gets rejected when it reaches the lab, and you have to send a new sample, then you will have to pay these re-shipping charges.
For International Customers :
If you order the kit from another country, the shipping charges for the kit will be extra. Once the sample is collected, you will need to arrange the return courier to the USA lab yourself. Why one should consider GI MAP over other tests ?
Unlike other comprehensive stool testing offered on the market, the GI-MAP identifies the quantitative value corresponding to each biomarker. This quantitative analysis allows practitioners to see how high or low a value is and whether it needs to be treated. The positive and negative values other stool testing analyses provide lack this specificity.
The GI-MAP uses qPCR technology that looks at the DNA of the pathogens within the gut (rather than the DNA of the patient). This gene-sequencing technology offers unmatched insight into precisely what is occurring in a patient’s gastrointestinal (GI) tract. Treatment progress can be monitored on retests by viewing whether the quantitative value of a biomarker has responded to treatment.
The GI-MAP also reports on antibiotic resistance and virulence factors, helping to take the guesswork out of treatment. The gut is highly complex and, the GI-MAP optimizes the practitioner’s ability to practice personalized, precision medicine by reporting on the specific DNA findings within a patient’s microbiome
Terms and Conditions :
1) Once purchased, the GI-MAP® test is 100% non-refundable, regardless of the reason for cancellation, non-use of the kit, delay in collection or inability to provide the sample.
2) As per the laboratory’s requirements, the sample must reach Diagnostic Solutions Laboratory within 10 days from the date of sample collection. If the sample reaches the laboratory after the permitted timeframe, it may be rejected, and a new sample may be required. 3) If a new sample needs to be shipped, the customer will not be required to pay the complete test price again. However, applicable FedEx re-shipping charges will have to be paid separately. The current FedEx re-shipping charge is ₹4,000. This amount may change in the future depending on courier charges, fuel surcharges, customs requirements or other applicable costs.
4) If the sample is rejected during the very first attempt of sending the sample to USA lab, iThrive will provide a replacement sample collection kit free of charge.
5) If the sample is rejected during the second attempt, or if the customer loses or misplaces the kit, additional charges for a replacement kit may apply.
