The 'GI-MAP comprehensive stool test' was developed to provide a diagnostic tool that offers unmatched insight into a patient’s unique microbiome. The GI-MAP stool analysis evaluates the DNA of the organisms living within the gut using the most advanced qPCR technology for results you can rely on.

Some conditions that warrant testing are:
- Autoimmune diseases
- IBS/IBD
- Digestive complaints, diarrhoea or constipation
- Brain fog
- Skin problems, like acne and psoriasis

- Diabetes and weight loss issues.
Medications & supplements to avoid before the test :
- No Antibiotics for at least 4 weeks before the test.
- No Probiotics for at least 2 weeks before taking the test.
- If possible, we recommend discontinuing anti-microbial herbs & agents 4 weeks before testing.
- Immune Suppressants/ Oral steroids- will likely cause a lower Secretory IgA,
Anti-gliadin, and calprotectin result (after finishing these meds, wait 4-6 weeks
before collecting sample). - Menstrual blood should not be mixed with the sample, so you will have to collect the sample accordingly.
If you have had a colonoscopy or colon hydrotherapy recently, you have to wait 1 month before giving the sample.

Kit Dispatch
After your order is placed, we will send the sample collection test kit to your address. The kit is usually delivered within 3–4 days of placing the order, although the delivery timeline may vary depending on your pincode.
The Kit includes:
An instruction manual and the tools required to collect the sample, like the stool collector vial, requisition form, Biohazard zip lock bag, collection tray, etc.

Sample Collection
After reading and understanding the complete test instructions, you can collect the sample on a mutually agreed fixed date with the iThrive team.
Shipping the Sample to Pune
Once the sample has been collected, you must courier it from your city or town to the iThrive office in Pune using express / fast delivery.
Yes, you will need to courier the collected sample through Blue Dart or any other super-fast courier service to iThrive’s Pune office.
Before collecting the sample, please locate a Blue Dart courier office or any other professional courier service near your home.
You may search online for nearby courier offices and confirm whether they offer express courier service, so that the sample can reach Pune from your city within 2 days.
Importance of Timely Delivery to Pune
The iThrive team should receive your sample within 2 days of collection. Any delay beyond this may reduce the chances of the sample being accepted by the lab in the USA.
Please note: If you live in a tier 3 city or a remote village, you may face delays in sending the sample to Pune. In such cases, you may temporarily go to a location where a faster courier service is available. If you still cannot access a faster courier service, please think before purchasing the test.
Dispatch from Pune to the USA Lab
Once the iThrive team receives your sample at their Pune office, they will immediately dispatch it to the USA lab via FedEx.
Tracking Details
After the sample has been dispatched from the iThrive office to the USA lab, the iThrive team will share the tracking number with you.
Sample Acceptance and Reporting Timeline
Once the sample has been received and accepted by the lab, the iThrive team will inform you. After acceptance, the report generation process usually takes about 2 weeks.
Report Delivery
The lab shares the generated report with the iThrive team through their practitioner portal. The iThrive team will download the report from the portal and share it with you via WhatsApp or email, as per your preference.
Important Sample Stability Requirement
As per the strict instructions of Diagnostic Solutions Lab, the GI-MAP stool sample must reach the lab within 10 days of the actual date of collection.
For example, if the sample is collected on 1st April, it must reach the lab by 10th April. If it arrives after the 10-day window, the sample will be rejected.
That is why we request that you send the sample to our Pune office within 2 days of collection, so that the iThrive team has approximately 8 days to ensure that the sample reaches the USA lab on time.
Shipping Charges
The Blue Dart Express delivery charges for shipping the sample are around Rs.550/- you will have to pay it directly to Blue Dart people.The international FedEx shipping charges from the iThrive Pune office to the USA are also included in the test price.
For International Customers :
If you order the kit from another country, the shipping charges for the kit will be extra.Once the sample is collected, you will need to arrange the return courier to the USA lab yourself.If you are an international customer, you may speak with the team before purchasing the test for guidance and clarification.

Sample Delivery Timeline
As per the lab’s instructions, the sample must reach the Diagnostic Solutions lab in the USA within 10 days from the date of collection.
Responsibility for Timely Dispatch to Pune
After you send your sample to our Pune office via express courier, it is your responsibility to ensure that the package reaches Pune within 2 days of collection.Please select your courier date accordingly. We should not receive the package on Saturday or Sunday.
Dispatch from Pune
Once we receive your sample at our Pune office, we will dispatch it on the same day, provided it is received before 1:00 PM.If the sample is received after 1:00 PM, the dispatch will be moved to the next working day.
Risk of Sample Rejection Due to Delay
Once the sample is dispatched via FedEx from our end, if it reaches the USA beyond the 10-day limit, the sample will be rejected, and the sample will need to be sent again.
Possible Reasons for Delay
The sample may be delayed for several reasons, including but not limited to:If you courier the sample late, it may reach our Pune office late, thereby extending the overall shipping timeline.Even if we dispatch the sample from Pune on time, delays may still occur due to: Customs clearance delays,paperwork issues,courier technical delays,war situations,adverse weather conditions other transit-related issues.
Courier Delays and Responsibility
From iThrive’s end, we make every effort to send the sample as quickly as possible after receiving it, and we also attach all required and updated shipping paperwork.However, despite these measures, delays may still occur on FedEx’s side. Therefore, the iThrive team will not be responsible for any delays during transit caused by the courier service.
Charges for Re-sending the Sample
If the sample needs to be sent again, you will not have to pay the full test cost again.

The courier charges for sending the sample from your city to Pune, and
the FedEx shipping charges from Pune to the USA
These Fedex charges are typically between Rs. 4,000 to Rs. 6,000/-.
Variation in Shipping Charges

Replacement Kit Policy
If the sample is rejected, we will provide the replacement kit free of cost for the first time.After that, for any further rejected sample or misplaced kit, you will need to pay for the replacement kit.
Reasons for Sample Rejection
The sample may also be rejected for the following reasons:
a) Insufficient sample quantity collected by the patient
b) Incorrect collection method
c) Leakage due to improper sealing
d) Failure to follow the food, supplement, and medication guidelines provided by the lab, as the results are reliable only when these instructions are followed
Refund Policy :
